Walkaboutwest offer a profesional guiding service on Bodmin Moor or across Cornwall. Mark Camp is a fully qualified Blue Badge Tour Guide and is one of only a handful of guides acredited to guide at Cornish Mining World Heritage sites in the county.
He is the author of eight books including the five books published by Best of Bodmin Moor and has also worked with both Country Walking magazine and BBC Countryfile magazine.
He created the Copper Trail in 2005, a sixty mile circular walk around the moor, the book of which can be purchased on this website.
For Mark the moors mean open space and an abundance of history. He rarely has a day on the moor when he does not find something new to look at and his quest to document all of the prehistoric sites on the moor has led to him walking to some very distant corners of it.
Mark organises the South East Cornwall Walking Festival every September and also leads walks for the DuMaurier Festival in May. He has taken Americans searching for the inspiration behind King Arthur onto the moors and he has taken Breton school children onto the moors who just want to let off steam.
If you need a guide for the moors give Mark a call.....but be prepared to leave a message if he is out walking.
Walkaboutwest also hold a large collection of Bodmin Moor images for use in publications.
